Have tried to renew my star membership

but when I click on one-time payment without a paypal account, a log-in window comes up to log into paypal.
I don't want paypal and I don't have a paypal account. help.

And, btw, getting hold of the DU administrators is like pulling teeth. Never used to have this problem. ????

1. If I recall, you will do it through paypal as a guest as the only option.

did mine that way last month.

2. On the PayPal screen

Scroll all the way down to the grey button which says "Pay with Debit or Credit Card" -- you won't have to log in to PayPal if you do that.

4. My thought is that since apparently no one can register as a new member right now,

it may be that you also can't renew your star membership. You might want trying to PM one of the guys in charge.

5. You should get the spinny padlock thing

and then the Guest Checkout page. If that's not coming up, I'm afraid I'm not sure what the problem is -- it must be at PayPal's end, unless you've got a browser extension or something that's blocking the page...

Not sure I've ever heard of that before. just curious.

7. That would be something like an adblocker

or a JavaScript blocker — an extension is a browser addon that changes its default functionality. Extensions can sometimes interfere with the way a page loads. But it sounds like you are not using anything like that.

I have what is called an adblocker that I renew every year................that may be the problem even tho' I had this last year and didn't have any trouble renewing my star membership. heavy sigh
I think I'll just kick back and worry about it later. Heck, if nothing else, I can always send you guys a check. That will work, I hope.

So, I don't know who to pay.
