DU Community Help
Related: About this forumWell, HERE'S a first in DU jury service...
I had to bow out of a jury because the offense ("no personal flaming" or whatever) occurred so many levels deep in responses and responses to responses that I couldn't actually read it -- the only thing that appeared on-screen was the left edge of the red box containing the allegedly-offensive post, even when I scrolled the maximum amount to the right.
Maybe we could all calm down and spend the next few days, at least, not trying to fight each other's factions over the aftermath of this election? Our common adversary is still far from being totally defeated.

There's a long ways to go until the election is certified and Trump's attempts to completely subvert democracy are crushed and, after that, a likely struggle on the most unfavorable ground of a recalcitrant Senate. The absolute last thing we need to do is immediately shift into a "We won! Now, before celebrating, let's demonize each other and try to drive each other's faction out of the party first!" attitude. We needed unity (which doesn't mean "now, your side shut up and let my side run things" ) before Election Day; but we're going to need it even more in the days ahead.

(122,463 posts)I think I know which thread it was in (though not which post), and the whole thing had devolved into a did-not, did too, you suck, you suck worse, totally ridiculous food fight. There wouldn't have been much point in removing just one post; the whole thread was like that.

(54,770 posts)Looking at all the people who were called to jury duty on that one, most must have canceled out and it went to hundreds of us.
Anyone know if the post was ultimately hidden or not?

(1,559 posts)...and search for the OP there... I will get a prompt telling me that I'm currently on a jury for that post, and that's ok... I just want to read through the whole thread for context... works for me... perhaps that can work for you as well...
