DU Community Help
Related: About this forumIs exporting all posts from your user profile possible?
It should be a simple database export to CSV/txt/HTML/pdf from the admin side.
On the topic of semi-inaccessible DU features, and circling back to an old question from years back that I and others have probably asked before, was there ever a rationale given for not allowing self-elected account deletion/suspension?

(11,463 posts)and choose Original Formatting as the paste option -- that preserves the hyperlinks.
Then painfully I do find and replace (Control H) all "yesterday" with " May 14 " (with a space before and after) and "Monday" with " May 13 " and so on.
The "Posts" page says
but I find it actually is limited to 30 days.
I'd like to put it in Excel (more possibilities for adding columns like some importance number, and sorting, etc.) but I haven't figured out a way that preserves the hyperlinks.

(22,566 posts)Posts from your last 30 days are stored in a separate database table for ease of access and to reduce database queries, but otherwise, posts are stored in forum tables, which includes archived forum tables, so extracting them all by username may not be a simple process. This is not my area of expertise, but it's been explained to me in the past by Elad that it is not easy to do.
If someone requests that their account be deactivated, we can do that. We can also delete personal information connected to the account from our database (ie. the user's email address, or any information in their profile).

(855 posts)Ive done it manually and tweaked scripts, capturing each variable profile name and their links which change on a 30 day basis would be an undertaking, especially with archived content. Thanks!
