Help, please. What happens if I accidentally hit Alert

with my fat thumb when I meant to hit Rec?

Did I alert? If so, how do I retract it.

Apologies for being so inept.

Editing to say thank you all! Felt awful thinking I'd alerted but didn't do those additional steps. This is my favorite online space. Thanks for the reassurance.

You could post an apology in the thread.

If your alert was a mistake, it will probably be voted no.

you have to click Alert and then select a reason and then click the submit button. If you didn't do all of those things, you did not send an alert.
