Related: About this forumAnyone else see a consent screen flash before DU opens?
It asks if you will consent to "selling" or "sharing" your info? Very odd. Just want to make sure it isn't something nefarious. Just as I start to read it, it always disappears. Only receive it once in a blue moon and now I've seen it 3 times today.

Maybe EarlG will shed some light on it for us.

It's necessary legal jargon put there by our ad provider
But I've asked them if it can be branded so that people understand that the message comes from DU, and the answer was it can't be done. The banner is supposed to go away after you interact with it once, but for some people it comes back multiple times. In addition, if you're on mobile, there's a little green icon that appears on the screen at all times, even for Star Members, and I've asked them if that can be removed, and they also said no. And yes, they are also responsible for the annoying "verifying browser" interrupt page, which they've also told me can't be changed. So I will likely be changing our ad provider later this year.

(4,333 posts)5. Thank you!
I never interacted with it because I'm a skeptic. It's just so random.

I still see it all the time, but it flashes by too quick for me to click on it even if I wanted to!
