Did anybody feel as though they you had been physically beaten when the medication took full effect?

I feel like Im recovering from a beating as I come down from the anxiety.

(39,007 posts)5. I took that years ago, soon switched to generic citalopram because it was much less expensive.
Citalopram is a racemic mix of the same drug containing the inactive mirror image.
I've experienced that beaten up feeling with some meds, but I don't remember which.
The unpleasant side effects of these drugs often fade the longer you take them, but tell your doctor.
Whatever you do, don't quit them suddenly, which I have done more times than I care to admit.

(52,340 posts)4. I was prescribed Klonopin and Xanax for anxiety
and both worked fine with no side effects and no lingering "down time" afterwards.
