Is there any reason I'm unable to access my SS acct?

Login.gov button should come up when you click the login button on ssa.gov.

I haven't had any issues and hope it stays that way.

And then the text a six digit code and you're in.

IMO, our congresscritters aren't being nearly vocal enough about this bullshit.

There is some strange stuff going on.

I got an email today that I thought was odd. (It says it is from [e-mail].) It supposedly is providing a link to my SS statement. I am not clicking on the hyperlink.

So I logged in the way I set up when I first went on SS. And I was able to log in, but - it then said I had to create either a login.gov or ID.me acct. I exited, until I can find out more about this.

I looked up what login.gov is. I am not pleased about the possibility it might also ask me for a photo ID. That does not seem right. I am calling my Senator on Monday to find out more.

I saw someone on DU last night say something about getting a strange text, that was representing itself as being from SS.
