I started a gratitude journal like she promoted. It changed the way I thought about my daily life. I learned to count my blessings and not my tribulations.

I can’t improve the world but I improved my outlook. Choose to be happy not dour.

Edit: Then a graduated to making a list of songs that are happy: a few

each day. Could be as simple as sun-dappled leaves, or my kitty curled on my lap, or a friend recovering from surgery.

In many philosophies from all over the world. Must be something to it since the idea and practice has been around for so long and in so many cultures.
