Se7en is still such a thrilling movie

I had the chance to rewatch it again like a decade later last night and jesus I forgot how much of a mind fuck the movie really is. Especially the ending. One of the rare moments when the villain actually wins instead.

And The Usual Suspect would still work on those grounds as well, apart from the getting-away-with-it aspect.

A movie ending which becomes ironically dissonant with his real life creepiness is American Beauty...

Someone commented that he wasn't acting in this scene. Like it's a shame Kevin is a pedo, he always nailed his creepiness in roles. Maybe those weren't exaggerated too much?
