TPB is a delightful film.

Wallace Shawn is still active in acting, he's an important character in the current show Young Sheldon (Big Bang spinoff ... it's pretty good actually).

Cary Elwes was in the last season of Stranger Things too.

Two people I'd not seen in a long time til fairly recently is why I mentioned it

2. Off topic...but

I’m a big Young Sheldon fan. I binged watched the first couple seasons with my kiddo during a brutally long flight to Australia and got hooked. It’s quite a clever show imho. I have a hard time sticking with any series without being bored…but this one I like. And anything Annie Potts is in is a keeper.

I've seen every episode multiple times, love that show. Didn't know if I'd like YS but binged the first 3 seasons on HBO max a couple weeks back. I like it.

If you have seen BBT then you've probably noticed it's a trip how PERFECTLY the mom seems like a young version of Sheldon's mom from BBT (Laurie Metcalf).

And if so, guess why ...

It is so hard for me to commit to a series but that seems like one I could actually watch…and, I live in Montana…winter is coming…Universe knows, I’ll have the time. ❄️⛄️

6. Well, I love it, I know some people hate it. It's different from YS in that it's filmed live

before a studio audience, so it has a different 'feel' from YS.

A lot of whether you'll like it ... is whether you can stomach what Sheldon is like. But you already have an idea of that from YS.

I think it gets better in later seasons when they start getting girlfriends. S1 is not the best of the show, so don't give up on it after S1.

Anyways, Sheldon's mom is introduced pretty early (first 7 episodes or so IIRC), and if you watch it after seeing YS you'll be like ... that's a trip!
