Any Interest in Seeing 'Killers of the Flower Moon?'

The previews I've seen are intriguing, and currently 45 of the 46 "Top critics" on Rotten Tomatoes rate it as "fresh." And, I mean, De Niro, DiCaprio and Scorsese together? This one is definitely on the must-see list for me. Thoughts?

I hope it is as well made as the trailer makes it seem.

Several cool alt-country musicians are in it as well - Jason Isbell and Sturgill Simpson are the two I remember.
Plus the native woman who is starring in it was amazing in "Reservation Dogs" - this seems to have a LOT good going on with it.

it is a movie based on true events in the 1920s where a rich White man (William Hale) set out to murder native Americans in order to acquire their oil rights/revenue. It took MANY trials to finally convict him of first degree murder, yet he was paroled in 1947, despite his life sentence. It is estimated that his plot involved at least 60 murders, possibly hundreds.

It is not a "feel good" movie.

but I had avoided reading much more about it because I didn't want to influence the experience of seeing it. Thanks for the info.

...but I did enjoy the book. Needless to say though, the movie version can't have many surprises.

I saw the overwhelming number of positive reviews and came here for a discussion. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is one of my newer favorites, but I didn't go see it in the theater precisely because of its length, and this one is even longer. I'm afraid I'll have to treat this one the same way.

Thanks for the heads-up.

Had lotsa of natives involved with it as well. The whole idea of it even happening just makes me sick. 🤬 🤬 🤬

With previews it will be clocking in at over four hours, and I don't think I can handle that. So it's definitely a see-it-later-on-HBO kind of thing for me. But, please come back after you've seen it and tell us how it was.

Scorsese is one of the greatest working directors and i’ve read praise about this movie from critics and from Osage leaders too. His work with Leonardo DiCaprio has continues to be phenomenal. The Wolf Of Wallstreet. is a masterpiece, Marty had made arguably of the greatest films of the decade for the last 5 decades
Thom Hartmann had on a director awhile back about a documentary called Long Knife about the continued abuse of the Osage Nation that should be released early next year, probably ahead of Oscar buildup .
