I saw "The Holdovers" last night.

What a great movie. I think it's going to be one of those holiday classics that's worth watching every year! Paul Giamatti was wonderful. What a performance.

Our local Regal offers discounted movie prices on Tuesdays for members, so I went to see it. I'm a Paul Giamatti fan, and his performance did not disappoint. The pacing was good and the story interesting, and I will watch it again some day when it makes its appearance on cable.

of the ages.

It wasn't lol funny at all. It wasn't even heartwarming. It was quiet without crescendo whatsoever. Can't believe the GG awards it got!

IMHO, moderately satisfying. Lots of anarchronisms for 1972 setting!!!

I'd give it like maybe a C+ yo a B-
??

PS just rewatched Sideways and Giamatti same kind of curmudgeon in this flick

But I found it touching. I love Paul Giamatti and I thought he was great in this film. It's one I'll watch every
Christmas.
