Go ahead and ask an attorney, but from what I've learned, it'll be hard to find an attorney who'll take the case. If they don't think it's a slam dunk, they won't take you on. Be skeptical of any attorney who seems eager for it. You'll have to get the person's medical records, which will cost you something, but maybe not too much.

2. 'Sepsis is viewed as a complex chain of systemic events

in response to invading pathogens involving inflammatory and anti-inflammatory processes, humoral and cellular reactions and circulatory dysfunctions. This immune storm leads to organ dysfunction and finally to multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS) and death.'

Multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS) is a continuum, with incremental degrees of physiologic derangements in individual organs; it is a process rather than a single event. Alteration in organ function can vary widely from a mild degree of organ dysfunction to completely irreversible organ failure. The degree of organ dysfunction has a major clinical impact.

In a classic 1975 editorial by Baue, the concept of “multiple, progressive or sequential systems failure” was formulated as the basis of a new clinical syndrome. [1] Several different terms were proposed thereafter (eg, multiple organ failure, multiple system organ failure, and multiple organ system failure) to describe this evolving clinical syndrome of otherwise unexplained progressive physiologic failure of several interdependent organ systems

3. Find a malpractice lawyer and tell them what you know. It likely

won’t cost you anything for an opinion. Don’t agree to pay anything, whatever.

While your case may well have merit, many won’t result in a favorable ruling if the defense can show the doctors, hospital, etc., “met the standard of care.” That’s not as difficult as maybe it should be.

But, you deserve a chance to get a few opinions. Sorry this happened to you.

4. I won't be able to collect his Social Security
Sun May 15, 2022, 01:04 AM
May 2022

I found that out the other day.

It was $500 a month, just enough to keep us out of needing to collect welfare, etc.

I am so very sad and now this.

I do not even know what time it is.

Did they kill my dearest? Did they?

He was a good strong man.

He was in the process as being transferred to a long-term care facility as an indigent spouse that they were saying I was now legally separated from.

The next thing I know its off to hospice and they wanted that $3500 up front!

Jesus, I wish I was dead. I might be far easier than this!

Why did they do him like that? He deserved so much more!

Is it because you get more for your social security? You get one check. The highest amount amongst you both.

He brought in $500 a month; myself $1150 on SSDI.

Being mine is more than his that is what I end up with the $1150 from SSDI and nothing from him, nothing!

Not much of a life to look forward to living off of this pittance. He had told me I would be able to collect all of his SSA being I am a disabled widow over 65 years old. Yeah right.

Was it something the hospital did? Or the hospice?

I almost hate to say this, but people die.

10. So sorry for your loss and continued trauma. However, one piece of crucial advice...

You are extremely vulnerable to manipulation and perhaps not thinking clearly if you are posting here, a political discussion board, asking for lawyers.

Try to breathe and stay calm. You’re still in shock.

Monday morning start making calls and if you can control your need for social interaction on the internet during this time, google attorneys w similar experience in your area.

My advice is to stay THE FUCK away from self identified internet lawyers - really, the internet in general right now as you collect yourself - if you don’t want to compound your problems w confusion and bad advice.

Very very good luck to you.

free or around $50.00. When you call, ask what their consultation fee is.

They are not going to take a case if it is not likely to result in a judgement in your favor. Their fee comes only if they "win."

You do not have money so they will have to invest in the funds themselves.

Ask the funeral director for V.A. contact if he was a veteran.
