Paige Bueckers injury scare and a comeback win highlight whirlwind week for UConn basketball teams

STORRS, CT. (WFSB) - Anything that has to do with knees or ankles, you just hope it’s not the worst-case scenario.

For the UConn women’s basketball team, the worst case scenario has been quite common the last couple of years.

Geno Auriemma says Paige Bueckers’ injury is not that. It’s more like Azzi Fudd’s, which was a minor injury that kept her out for three games.

It looked a lot worse Sunday when she grabbed her knee after going for a loose basketball.

It was even scarier that it was the same knee that caused her to miss a whole season.
