A twist of the term
getting close to twisting one in another way. The Fade is rapidly overcoming the plant. Trichomes are filling in sweetly. I was gifted this seed which was originally described as an Acapulco Gold to me, after reviewing his seed stock he corrected the strain to Columbian Gold.
Still have October to go. Being in the greenhouse it may be possible to even lengthen if more time is needed.
Stigmas are starting to darken.

(27,578 posts)Youre definitely up on this, and I remember reading that Acapulco Gold is considered a landrace strain.

Colombian Gold is a Sativa landrace cultivar, created in the Santa Marta Mountains of Colombia.
Through generations of inbreeding by local growers, Colombian Gold became one of the most stable cannabis strains on the market. While less popular than its cousin, Acapulco Gold, Colombian Gold still holds a place in cannabis history. Sam the Skunkman used it as half of his Skunk #1 creation in the 1960s, and it has been used for numerous hybrids over the last few decades.
As a true landrace Sativa, Colombian Gold produces tall, branchy plants that bloom within 75-90 days when grown indoors. However, a moderately experienced grower can tease out a November yield of up to 600 grams per square meter in an outdoor garden in the Northern Hemisphere, and harvest in May in the Southern Hemisphere.

(517 posts)if you take care of the spider mite infestation you have. I can see them on the leaves.
Here's what I do: pluck all the fan leaves and any yellowed or infested leaves. Spray with Humboldt's Flower Shield or Organishield. You mix 30 milliliters per 1.5 Liter. You will want to spray them twice at least after waiting a day in between. Humboldt's you have to spray at night. These sprays kill only on contact with the mites.
I am not joking. You have zero time to lose.

there was some kinda infestation not bad at all. It wasnt spider mites I had that problem years ago in another grow so. I had a good idea of what to look for.
I plucked the outer shade leaves which was happening anyway. That was a good idea. Checked the underside with the microscope and with eye power and micro power saw nothing. Washed leaves with our garden soap and marigold petal plant spray. The environment inside the greenhouse wasnt really the best for s.m. infestation. I did notice some empty carcasses on the leaves, looked like small gnats perished.
Greenhouse got hit hard with aphids during mid-summer. Bought about 30,000 lady bugs and let em loose. Then washed the house and all the plant leaves, performed a soil rinse with neem oil and Castile soap 3xs. Hit mainly the pepper plants. Had a good number of ladybugs take up residence in the cannabis plant. They loved being there, think the empty carcasses were their former lunch.
Thanks again better to be on the safe side
always!
