Martin O'Malley
Related: About this forumCaught him on "This Week,"
looked good at Baltimore Waterfront, handled all the questions, 'gotcha' and otherwise, well, like 'why you?' re: progressiveness= EXPERIENCE. & Independence + track record. Wall Street not banging down my door to help my campaign.
--why should progressive voters pick you over Bernie Sanders?
GOVERNOR O'MALLEY: Because I have a track record of actually getting things done, not just talking about things.
re: TPP, 'We shouldn't be in a race to the bottom for the cheapest labor in the world.'

Also their press accolades do not include a single liberal source.
Just looking at how the graph overstates libertarian thought should be a clue to the useless of that site and their phony charts.
Don't believe me? Surf their "about us" pages.

(11,614 posts)It is a big difference. HE dovetails it later on in the interview about more work to be done when he talked about what happened in Baltimore:
Good interview, I overslept and will watch it later on.

(110,159 posts)i like the way he talked about obama. it is like he simply pinpoints the reality and is very matter of fact, but giving obama his due, which many do not on du. i have wondered why, with obamas will and smarts, why he has not accomplished more. i am good with obama but wanted more too. that is a good point about the difference in the two. i can see it in the two different jobs they have had, their personal experience.
i am glad i read the back story on baltimore. it seems like it will be a theme in this election and talked about often.
thanks

(110,159 posts)he is a hard ass isnt he. i am getting htis family in politics. asst district att, on up.... he knows how to talk, be a hard ass, get to the point, not mince words
interesting.
now, i gotta tell you, ... i do not like punches at our dems. so yesterday while people were talking he punched clinton i cringed a bit. what he said was fine, and straight talking, i thought certainly in bounds. i do not think we have to headline it with
a jab at clinton
a punch to clinton.
but... what say you, .... we title
a punch at sanders.
i wonder, what would happen on du.
what he said was part of the campaigning. doesnt mince words. seems very controlled. it will be interesting. i like straight talk.
elleng
(136,607 posts)straight talker, especially when challenged to be provocative.
This a race to the TITLE for Dems, so there will be punches; everyone demands them, including DUers. We NEED to know which of our candidates has what we, individually, want, and the extent to which they are actually likely to deliver.

(110,159 posts)a decade and half.i never had a need for punches ect... to win. i see this more of a competitive race (sports) and i can see a clear, articulate manner to do it in integrity. not questioning mallery, but how re represent the race. not laying it out for anyone in the group or pro malley, either. (fuck, i have so been conditioned to clarify every fuckin thing i say, lol).
i guess someone can see it as a sports fight. and that would be in terminology of punches.
i am a pacifist, lol all the way. no punching.
