Yep - Federal and State (MD) Electronic filing and direct deposit is the way to go.

IRS received on Jan. 13. That is why I'm asking.

If you have direct deposit the payment always goes through on a Wednesday.
My son is getting married in Florida in April so the $$ is going to plane tix for the family up here (PA).
