Samoa Airways repatriation flight to Samoa next week

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — In a statement yesterday, Samoa Airways announced one scheduled repatriation flight on Mar. 31st from Pago Pago to Apia, Samoa for Samoa nationals in the territory as well as cargo.

The flight is scheduled to depart around 2:15p.m out of Pago Pago and Samoa Airways says all passengers will require their medical clearance and negative COVID-19 tests 48 hours prior to departure. For more information contact local Samoa Air office - 6999126.

Meanwhile the Samoa government owned airline announced early this week that it will resume air services to Asau Airport on Savaii island from Upolu island beginning Apr. 1st during the busy Easter and Election holidays to help boost local tourism on the big island.

It has been six years since flights were suspended between Upolu and the Asau Airport, which several years ago, had direct service to Pago Pago, when then Pago Pago-based Samoa Aviation was in operation at the time.
