Imperial Pacific International (CNMI) LLC told the U.S District Court for the NMI that it is currently in the process of repatriating its Chinese workers.

According to the 26th status report filed by IPI counsel Michael Dotts, IPI has been working with the Chinese Embassy to repatriate their Chinese workers.

“For its Chinese citizens, IPI is still waiting for the Chinese Embassy to approve the proposed flights back to China,” he said.

Dotts reported that the target travel dates for these workers is around the end of July or early August.

Dotts also reported that a couple more former employees were repatriated to the Philippines during the reporting period. Other than these, no major repatriations of former employees took place.
