Does anyone know why there haven't been updates to the Washington state vote results?

A lot of people mailed their ballots yesterday (or maybe the last couple of days).

I am from California, and mail ballots must be post-marked on or before election day, and received

That is correct. California insures all votes are counted, including provisional

Update: Washington's Sec. of State tally now has Joe up 6,800 votes as of 3:20

They need to be opened, the signatures need to be verified, they have to toss the ones that didn't pick a party preference, and then they count them.

They still have 300,000 ballots to count.
This info is from the State Elections website.
Turnout was excellent, almost 2,000,000 ballots cast.
