(10,642 posts)Whoopie just wanted to know why he's doing the same thing in 2020. He really doesn't look well at all. Hostile, angry and short tempered.

"From Bernie’s perspective, dropping out of a race once you have no chance of winning is peculiar behavior that can only be explained by the work of a hidden hand. For most politicians, though, it is actually standard operating procedure. Only Sanders seems to think the normal thing to do once voters have made clear they don’t want to nominate you is to continue campaigning anyway."
"When things are not called by their right names, what is said cannot make sense. When what is said does not make sense, what is planned cannot succeed. When plans do not succeed, people become uneasy. When people are uneasy, punishments do not fit crimes. When punishments do not fit crimes, people cannot know where to put hand or foot."

(18,131 posts)Have I missed the pundits saying otherwise? Bernie you stepping aside when you no longer have a path to victory is no different than Beto or Pete or Kamala or Elizabeth or on and on...why should you be treated differently? Were those candidates supporters denied democracy?? No they weren't. But I guess you're special because you're winning ideas or a movement or something. Give me a fucking break

I don't remember if it was in this segment or the other (the whole thing was chopped due to the poor quality of his video/audio setup), but he started in complaining again about the reason he did so badly on March 3 is because Klobuchar and Buttigieg dropped out.
He simply can't accept the fact that Democrats don't want him to be our nominee.

(44,417 posts)She asked him why he's staying in the campaign. He gave no reason. He shifted to talking about the next stimulus bill and when she asked him again he said we're not having a rally in Michigan.
He was abrasive and defensive.

Someone should remind him that as a Senator he should know that there's nothing in the United States Constitution about the Democratic Party of presidential primaries.
People DO have a right to vote, no one said they didn't.
PS - hope you recover quickly!
