I muted Bernie

I missed Bill Maher two nights ago. (It wasn't listed, FFS!) But I caught the repeat a a few hours ago, and watched the whole show. But when Sen Sanders (I-Vt) came on, I turned the sound off until Bill's indulgent humoring of a now-irrelevant loser was over. Hey, if I wanted to listen to a delusional fool who can't acknowledge reality, I'd proceed to the Genuine Article:

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

"From Bernie’s perspective, dropping out of a race once you have no chance of winning is peculiar behavior that can only be explained by the work of a hidden hand. For most politicians, though, it is actually standard operating procedure. Only Sanders seems to think the normal thing to do once voters have made clear they don’t want to nominate you is to continue campaigning anyway."

"When things are not called by their right names, what is said cannot make sense. When what is said does not make sense, what is planned cannot succeed. When plans do not succeed, people become uneasy. When people are uneasy, punishments do not fit crimes. When punishments do not fit crimes, people cannot know where to put hand or foot."

As ridiculous and harmful as his continued primary campaign is, his message is still the right one. There wasn’t any mention of the primary, just issues.

I love Bernie, but I’m in Biden’s corner now based on reality. It’s unfortunate that my true preference did not make it, so I have switched to Biden. However, it still says undecided lest I be associated with the irritating haters.

We'll have lots of praise for Bernie and what he has accomplished once he's safely out of the race. But he's got to get out and let Biden get to work. That why you're seeing so much hostility.

People are dying.

The nurses and doctors are giving their lives to save them. Does Bernie have a relative wearing rain gear and one mask a day fighting to save lives. I do.

He needs to suspend the campaign he can not win and go fight for those on the front lines. I was disheartened when he never came back from VT to fight for the hard hit middle class with this shut down. No money for food or rent. Congress and Senate were fighting tooth and nail to come up with a relief package for those hardest hit. He was absent and only came back to vote.

He was absent and only came back to vote for the poor and working class that are the hardest hit. I repeat. He was absent.

The hate runs deep. Bernie could personally invent a covid19 cure, and a significant number of folks here would declare he only did it for politics.

His being "in" the race is completely irrelevant to biden being able to "get to work". Its time for all of us to get to work now, Bernies candidacy is irrelevant to beating Trump.

On pretty much all accounts.

It doesn't effect fundraising at any level, except possibly as a positive.

Suspending makes no difference.

Sanders is an old man with a recent heart attack and should be keeping extra distance, especially given the fairly recent exposures from other senators who were infected. I'd really hope that we could be finding more ways to keep ALL of our valuable senators safe while allowing them to do their jobs

A comedian talk show host's job is to get the guests, often celebrities, to talk. I have no idea why anyone would think talk show hosts should only have guests they agree with.
