Raw Story: 'Come on!' CNN conservative buried after insisting voters put their 'faith' in Elon Musk

Raw Story - 'Come on!' CNN conservative buried after insisting voters put their 'faith' in Elon Musk

CNN conservative commentator Shermichael Singleton argued Sunday that Americans should trust Elon Musk with their personal data, because there was "nothing nefarious" about Musk's intentions.

State of the Union host Dana Bash asked Singleton, "The notion of him really accessing personal data, a lot of information, and doing, we don't know what with it. That doesn't give you a concern?"

"No, it doesn't, because he's not going to do anything nefarious with this information," Singleton declared. "It's almost as if you're doing an accounting, a forensic accounting of a company. You need to have access of everything in order to say we should make cuts here, or this is ineffective or inefficient. He's doing what the president has mandated or him to do, in part, with the American people expected Donald Trump to do."

Singleton continued, "And as it pertains to Democrats, you know, Democrats have had every opportunity to come to the table to offer a solution to cutting government spending. Once upon a time, they actually believed in that. Instead, all I have heard is whining and complaining about what Trump is doing, what Elon Musk is doing.

Singleton's assertion drew major pushback from commentator Kate Bedingfield.

They are cutting essential government services, it's not "spending". It's using our tax money the way we want. Walleye Feb 9 #1

They are willing to accuse otherwise honest people like Joe Biden, who have been in the public eye for 50 years, without proof and believe the word of a known liar and cheater instead. Waste fraud abuse let’s see some goddamn proof for God sake. republican fanboys are getting embarrassing.

If it's not nefarious, then why does he have to defy the Constitution, break laws, and essentially declare Congress's spending authority irrelevant? What they are doing is simply an unconstitutional and illegal power grab, defying the courts to stop them from acting like dictators. It doesn't matter that ***** ran promising to be a dictator -- winning the election does not actually give him the right to actually do that. But that's the garbage they're preaching to the cult, now: Things were so bad, only a dictator can fix them. Does Singleton REALLY not understand that, or is he putting on a pretense of being stupid so he won't get whacked?
