'We are dying': 'Cancer Alley' activist addresses Trump dismissal of petrochemical company case - Alex Wagner - MSNBC

MSNBC’s Alex Wagner heads to ‘Cancer Alley’ in Louisiana to speak with residents in a majority-Black community affected by the Trump administration’s recent decision to drop a lawsuit against a petrochemical plant. The Denka plant was accused by the Biden administration in 2023 of emitting unsafe levels of the toxic chemical chloroprene.

Local activist Robert Taylor talks about the impact on the community including the nearby Fifth Ward Elementary School and the Trump Justice Department saying its dismissal of the lawsuit was part of Trump’s efforts to “dismantle radical DEI programs.” - 03/19/2025.
