Venezuela's Machado 'presented' Trump with her Nobel Peace Prize medal - CNN The Brief



Opposition leader María Corina Machado said she “presented” Donald Trump with her Nobel Peace Prize medal at their meeting. Trump has long been public about his desire for the prize, and Machado dedicated it to him when she won it last year.

The White House said earlier that Trump stands by his assertion that Machado does not have the necessary support to lead Venezuela. - Aired on 01/15/2026.

But he'll treat it as his, as if it had been awarded to him. And this embarrassing act of fealty by Machado won't do her a damn bit of good. Too bad the rules of the NPP don't allow the committee to revoke it.
