We organized a sit down with Tim Walz and undecided working class voters in Erie, PA. 3 voted for Trump in 2020. 1 has never voted before. After the conversation, their minds were changed.

3. Sorry, not sorry

I can't feel any sympathy for them. White working class men, consistently voted for Republicans who instituted these policies.
They were told constantly by progressives, liberals and leftists that it wasn't going to turn out well for them. They turned their backs
on organized labor, in the mistaken belief that somehow they would be welcomed in the capitalist class.
They fell for the siren song of pro business shills like Milton Friedman and Ronald Reagan. They firmly believed that they and only they would not be
affected by the pro capital policies-everybody else were "slackers" and "malingerers".
They looked at cities like Philadelphia with a large Black population and thought that it had nothing to do with them. That they were mostly "criminals" and "welfare queens".
So when the inevitable happened, as it does in capitalist economies, and businesses outsourced to seek lower labor costs which resulted in greater returns to capital at the expense of workers. They looked at the Democrats (who tacked right to keep up with the financial contributions that Republicans were receiving) and blamed them. They became even more isolated when Democrats pursued Black voters when white working class voters elected (and still do to an extent) Republicans.
And even now, their misguided loyalty to Trump is still hurting them, but now they're making Democrats jump through hoops to get their votes, despite the obvious benefits they'll derive from a Democratic victory.
Gov. Walz was chosen by Harris ( a wise move, btw) because he could speak to working class white men. Compare that to J.D. Vance whose patron is a hedge fund billionaire who hates organized labor and by extension, workers. And they're still "on the fence"? Are you kidding me?
