Ruy Teixeira - "Where Have All the Democrats Gone?" - The Daily Show

“You actually have to focus relentlessly on delivering for people in their daily lives and figure out how to do it... so they feel it.” Co-founder of The Liberal Patriot Substack and co-author of “Where Have All the Democrats Gone?” Ruy Teixeira sits down with Jon Stewart to discuss how Democrats lost their coalition of working-class voters and economic instincts. They talk about the decline of Democratic economic policies since Bill Clinton, whether DEI and “woke” culture are turning people away from the party, and what Teixeira views as an era where both Democrats and Republicans may not be interested in forming a dominant majority coalition.

This isn’t the first time they went against their own interests. They did it by voting for Reagan over Carter and they paid a heavy price for that.

This time they may not survive with union busting Musk behind the scenes.

The issues were very clear this election. There was no ambiguity, and these so-called experts don’t seem to comprehend, that the problem isn’t the Democrats, but that the country has completely lost its moral compass as evidenced by who they elected, and there will be a very high price for this where a lot of people will get hurt before this is over.

I think they fell for trump’s BS. If you see how down races went, they clearly aren’t going to vote for republicans except trump. I’m 2026 and beyond there will be no trump. So we will get voters back.

exposed how morally bankrupt the country is.

The fact that the voters didn’t care that the person soon to occupy the WH is a racist, sexist, bigot, who incited n insurrection speaks volumes about them.
