Gaetz gets FINAL KARMA he Deserves to RUIN HIS LIFE - Legal AF

Let's settle this debate once and for all? Can Gaetz "unresign" and "un-vacate" his House seat now that he's not going to be the Attorney General? And if not, can he run for this "old" seat again in a Special Election? And could Governor DeSantis piss off Trump by appointing Gaetz, not Lara Trump, to the soon to be open Marco Rubio Senate seat? Michael Popok reports @ the Intersection of Law, Politics and Florida. - 11/22/2024.

And the only way he could retake his seat is if he enters the Special Election and wins.

4. Was Gaetz appointed by the governor to take Rubio's seat?

That did happen here in New York. When Senator Clinton was appointed Secretary of State by President Obama, then-New York Governor Paterson appointed NY-20 Rep. Gillibrand to take her place as senator. Then we had to have a Special Election to elect another Representative. We elected Democrat Scott Murphy who was not only very good, but local to me. I worked on his campaign. I sure wish we still had him today.
