I doubt Christopher Wray would do it. Wray assumed office on August 2, 2017, appointed by Trump. He basically refused to investigate hundreds of credible allegations against Brett Kavanaugh regarding sexual misconduct, including Christine Blasey Ford's, paving the way for Kavanagh to be confirmed on October 6, 2018, to succeed Justice Anthony Kennedy.

Trump wants someone who will commit crimes for him. Blowing off an investigation is one thing, but committing crimes is a bridge too far for Wray.
