If we were not able to elect Hillary, who has one of the best legal minds of her generation, or Harris, whose experience is wide-ranging and impeccable, we are not going to elect a relatively untried younger woman. We would have a Barry Goldwater type of defeat. There are entire swaths of the country who would sneer at her and despise her simply because she is from New York.

Go ahead and idolize her if you like. I would like her better if she stayed in Washington and did less grandstanding. Lauren Underwood is a much better example of the type of young Congress person we need. She goes to work and gets things done without the need for a gaggle of admirers.

my hope is that the nation will be so disgusted by the once and future pig that any democrat can dance in (so lets make it a progressive)

or the worst excesses of trump will not reach the people until after the 2028 election. the bitcoin scam seems to have a 5n year window for example) in that case if we win we are holding the bag.

i won't mention a possibility worse than that. lets just assume that trump is not declared "president for life" with hereditary power, like kim, assad, and papa doc.

I adore AOC, but until I see concrete evidence to the contrary it will be Newsome of California who will destroy the enemy within. I do see AOC undertaking a big role for the Democrats however. More on that later.

going there, i.e., giving what Republicans are saying any credence at all. Repugs need to leave that girl alone. I haven't heard any Democrats or her (herself) even hinting at such a thing.
As far as I'm concerned, they can keep their mouths steered away from AOC. They elected Donald Trump. They need to worry about that, not anything the Democrats are doing.
