Billionaires Invaded Miami. The Workers Who Build the City Are Dying.
I live in South Florida. I've spent most of my career working in Miami. This really hit home. Miami was always an expensive city but I actively see the problem get worse for working class people. I see every new construction project with luxury housing and no affordable housing. I remember having to reroute commutes due to road closures because these super tall high-rise buildings with more overpriced space were being built.
