Anyone else suspicious of the GOPs hyperfocus on Greenland the last 24 hours?

I'm seeing what appears to be a very coordinated attempt to get everyone talking about Greenland in the hopes Signal-gate will go on the back burner. Trump and the GOP have talked about Greenland in dribs and drabs, but all of a sudden, the rhetoric has really ramped up, almost frantically so.

A news article on CBSNews today reported that Israel is super pissed about the Signal-gate as it put one of their operatives at risk. In the article, there was this snippet:

"CBS News reported Thursday that President Trump has been privately venting his irritation about the Signal chat leak and is closely monitoring the news to see if the fallout quiets down, according to sources familiar with the matter." https://www.cbsnews.com/news/israeli-officials-signal-texts-exposed-intelligence-sources-say/

I think Trump is instructing Vance and other GOP operatives to go out and make statements about the US taking over Greenland, and to make them as offensive as possible, to try and get everyone talking about that. It's all the GOP is talking about today, which is what makes me suspect it's another attempt to distract.

I think that it might backfire as Signal-gate is too big to let go of. Now he's just adding Greenland as a cherry on top.

Edited to Note: The coverage is not just due to JD Vance visiting Greenland. JD Vance didn't announce he was going to Greenland with his wife until AFTER Signal-gate. I think this is on purpose. I think what was initially going to be a low-key visit got ramped up for maximum exposure and distraction from Signal-gate.
