but he's never going to support Trump's stupidity that explicitly targets Canada.

I mean, at least 90% oppose Canada becoming part of the US, and of course the citizenry isn't going to be happy about tariffs they do nothing positive for them. Trump is so bad, he's even uniting many/most Canadian conservatives against him. The conservatives were going to win the next election in a historical landslide until Trump went to work.
