I live in a neighborhood where there are a lot of really rich people (I am not rich). Like summering in the Hamptons, owning many homes, and having private jets sort of generational wealth.

I remember a party I went to quite a number of years back. The host of the party was quite drunk, and said something about being a part of the 1% and wanting to stay a part of the 1% (which frankly he would… because generational wealth…his family has buildings named after them and they really do summer in the Hamptons.)

I realized then that no amount of money was enough for a rich guy like that. It would never be enough. I even saw that trait in a wealthy Democrat that lived here. It was never enough.
