one of the things that the oiligarchs did was to privatize state assets. During Trump's first administration he made noises about selling off national parks. For decades conservatives in Texas, where there is comparatively little federal or state land, have said that other than military bases and a few buildings the "government" should not own land. I do think that it might be difficult for them to force states to sell their state parks, but I wouldn't put it past them to try.
