just like the border is an emergency and cutting government spending is an emergency - so he had an excuse to do whatever he wanted to do, right now. But he got so much blowback from Wall Street that he probably didn't expect because they love him, or so he thinks. But the billionaires love their money more, and they aren't having this tariff nonsense if it costs them money. He has to dump it all on China now, but they aren't blinking, and he'll reach a "deal" with Xi that MAGA will swallow like they swallow all his shit. Even so, this nonsense has proved to the rest of the world that the US is no longer a reliable trading partner, no matter what happens to the tariffs.
