They only do ideology. The Party has been rebuilding itself into a a rubber stamp body where independence, critical thinking, and bi-partisan legislation are unacceptable characteristics in our national governance. They only run candidates that can be controlled. Spinelessness is a major attribute. Ideally, skeletons in their personal lives are available to enforce Party loyalty.

And they have a significant number of voters who are oblivious to this reality.
