Have you spent any significant time on college campuses to see what life is like there now that not only Federal but State governments are prohibiting free speech - and punishing both students and faculty for speaking out? Every semester evaluation now includes a mandatory question about whether the instructor is nice enough to the poor little right wing babies. Not worded that way explicitly, but it is the result of laws which require they not be offended. Trans individuals are forced to tolerate being referred to by their gender assigned at birth, and the name given by their parents. Dumping this on their shoulders, simply because some of them saw fit to protest mass slaughter of Palestinians (which, FYI, is not happening here yet) under a different administration (which didn't slash funding, sue protesters, and deport individuals here lawfully simply for exercising their first amendment rights) is pretty rude, unless you are on campus organizing the protests you complain are non-existent.
