27. Same where I grew up in the Southeast.

I live in Vermont now and the average Republican here is no different really than a middle of the road Dem where I grew up. We have some nutters like everyone else, but few have a prayer getting elected to much of anything.

Scott, Charlie Baker recently in Mass, Larry Hogan down in Maryland are all cut from the same cloth. Scott has his moments and I've been very critical of him playing possum recently apparently hoping the regime will ignore us. But these latest events are just to egregious for anyone with a soul or a scrap of decency to let pass. So I'm not too surprised with his statement. We don't see eye to eye on everything, but we do on a lot of things and at the very least, he's a decent human.

Thought last year when Pat Leahy's Senate seat came open, if Scott had ambitions on higher office he might have thought about switching parties. He'd have to since there's no one in hell Vermont is ever sending an R to Congress. Would have been a hell of a primary fight between him and Peter Welch if he had.
