10. I think many R's are stuck between a bad place and a hard place

all of their own making. They may have blackmail hanging over their heads, and can read the tea leaves of the elections just past and those to come. But they have no spine to do what's right in order to try to save themselves. It's always what is easiest and most expedient for these kinds of people. Which is why we should never expect them to help undo the damage that they, themselves, have administered to the U.S. both domestically and internationally. In sum, I believe them to be absolutely useless to anyone except the lowest criminal types.
