I did not pay particular attention to Georgia politics while he was initially campaigning, so I just don't have enough information. Did he run on the Jesus ticket?
I don't reject candidates simply for having their own religious faith. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, even regarding invisible sky daddies. It's the ones who rub everyone's noses into their personal religious dogma or use religion as justification for public policy that get under my skin. Or as a public focus of their candidacy. I don't care who or what they worship, but talking about it all the time makes me question whether they extend the same courtesy to everyone else. I just don't want to hear it in a secular forum.
