my uncle was killed in Vietnam. Your description of the volleys made me momentarily shiver through my memory of the same. I remember my grandmother being held up under her arms by my father and his surviving brother as she collapsed when presented with the flag, the symbol of my uncle's service and sacrifice. Even now, when I visit their graves, I still remember those volleys.

And yes, shame to those who know not even a sliver of decency and empathy.
