... I wonder if undiagnosed Oppositional Defiant Disorder could account for some of the bad decisions made by some parents. I've had some experience with ODD in my own family, where a demonstrably bad, and potentially dangerous, decision has been stubbornly defended even in the face of irrefutable proof of its assured negative outcome.
We're certainly seeing it on a daily, nay, HOURLY, basis with the increasingly warped behavior of our mentally unsound president, and a terrifyingly large percentage – one could justifiably say – ALL of his cabinet members.
