at the WH and also at places like the with the royal family in the UK are loyal to the job, not the people in the position. They view people like trump and even Biden as "just passing through." There are quite a number of books by such people and they are entertaining to read because it tells about the personal foibles that we never hear about.

One of the best examples is The Residence Inside the Private World of the White House by Kate Anderson Brower. But there are many more!

The one I read was about Queen Elizabeth and her corgis. It told about how she insisted that all her dogs be treated very well. Can't recall the title at the moment, but it told all about the personal idiosyncrasies of the royal family.

I can see why such a staffer wouldn't let some uncouth oaf like trump elbow them out of their job. In fact, they probably are taking notes for a salacious book once trump is out of there.
