19. That is the truly frightening part of this episode in American history:

[REDACTED] hasn't led Republican politicians and voters down a road they really didn't want to be on--they found in him the only conductor crazy and brazen enough to drive the train they built into the obstacle-filled canyon they imagine the world to be.

I really do not think they see the "obvious" that we all see.

If R voters did see it they would not still be pushing out representatives that so much as look the wrong way at him.

And ascribing the silence of Republicans in Congress to fear of speaking out really gives them way too much credit for being even halfway normal.

Republicans and [REDACTED] travel on the same wavelength--a wavelength we are unable to clearly see. It all makes perfect sense to them.
