When I got married the second time, my family was confused. They liked my previous wife. Hell, I liked my previous wife. She just fell in love with some other woman and wanted her freedom. So, I said, "Go for it!" I got a hug and a goodbye. We had a nice, neat uncontested divorce, decided how to split everything up and went on our ways. Shit happens.

Soon, I encountered the woman I am now married, too. We met at a computer trade show, COMDEX. She moved to California. On the day the divorce was final, we got married in the front yard of my house there, which was now owned outright by me.

Like I said, my parents were confused. They didn't know why the divorce had happened, and I didn't share the reason with them. But, they came up to the Central California Coast to attend the garden wedding. My new wife's parents and sisters came from Illinois and Florida to the wedding. We paid for their tickets and the hotel they stayed in.

It was a wedding, for Pete's sake. Everyone had a good time. We ate Pizza that evening, but had gone to a very nice restaurant the night before. Everyone hung around until after midnight at my house, except my parents and siblings, who drove three hours home in the afternoon.

Everyone came. We all get along. My previous wife didn't come to the wedding, although she could have. My local friends all showed u p. We were going to get married next to the Christmas tree in the house, but it's California. It was 75 degrees outdoors, and there's this huge, weird looking tree in the front yard, so we moved it out there. The officiant was a musician friend of mine who had a online ordination and did weddings as a side hustle.

Lots of laughter and fun. It was a wedding. People who care about you come to your wedding.

Donny Badger Trump Don't Care! about any damned thing. He'll be a no-show at his son's wedding.
