We have a culture that idolizes doing the wrong thing for the right reasons. To his guys, this is one of those things, even though he didn't get it fighting for them, he got it being a shit. I doubt they know why he's a felon.

Many politicians in the past have bandied about mug shots to show a finger to the systems, they didn't break me, etc... It sells to the already initiated.
