A letter to the editor about funding cuts affecting monitoring might help educate the public about how their tax dollars are used. If trump hadn't thrown out the Obama handbook on pandemics, maybe there would have been fewer deaths from covid-19.

I'm so sorry your shelter, pets, farm animals, etc are affected.

And for the record, farmers and ranchers should never be presumed to be "rich."
