Ohio police are searching for a 20-year-old suspect and a second shooter in connection with a Saturday shooting at a neighborhood festival in Toledo that wounded 12 people.
Ka Nye Taylor is wanted on 11 counts of felonious assault in connection with the shooting at the Old West End Festival, the Toledo Police Department said in a statement Wednesday. It added that the suspect was identified following interviews and investigative leads. Taylor was described as a 5-foot-11 Black man weighing 130 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Investigators have also received photos of a second shooter and are seeking the publics help in identifying him.
The Saturday mass shooting left 12 people wounded and stemmed from a dispute involving two rival groups, police said Tuesday.
The oldest victim is 61 years old and the youngest is 14, police Lt. Dan Gerken said Saturday. He added that most of the victims were in their early 20s.
While investigators believe some of the victims are intentionally targeted, the majority of those injured appear to have been innocent bystanders caught up in this senseless act of violence, Toledo Police Chief Michael Troendle said Tuesday.
