19. WOmen seek medical attention at higher rates then men

I'm not saying that is because they are more empathetic. I'm saying they pursue medical help more than men.

Being open to seeking medical care, rather than "toughing it out" may be more common, but I have no idea what that would mean.

I've toughed things out and it's caused serious problems (like 3x bypass surgery, and diabetes).

My mother toughed things out, sort of. She had serious venous issues which she lived with for decades. I don't think she hated herself, or distrusted the medical profession. I think she realized the household she anchored didn't have a lot of resources, and she put her children, particularly her only daughter, before her (and the boys maybe presumed to be tougher? I don'r really know)

Radiation therapy for her second round of cancer destroyed her immune system, and she died not of cancer, but of pneumonia
